Whakanui 2025

Kia ora, three things I’ve achieved this week are: get back into school routines, understand myself better as a learner, create a culture that is positive and helpful to others. 2 favourite assignments or tasks this week are: im most proud when I achieve highly, i like to be recognised for being organised, I like to make friends. When im given a task I like to get people to help. When  im trying to concentrate, I find it difficult if theres a lot of noise. What I want to do better next week is: get more work done since i have not been doing alot of work.

Celebration means the act of celebrating. An example is: We want to do something special in celebration of Amy’s great new job.

My favourite celebration is new years because I have an excuse to stay up late. I also have another excuse to just scream happy news years and I wouldn’t get told off.

Rawhiti Athletics Day

  • zones
  • Canterbury
  • FUN!!
  • Friday 25;10;24
  • Better health
  • Time consuming
  • Using energy
  • Achieving goals
  • You get fit

On Friday 25 October at Rawhiti school we did Athletics and it was fun to me but some people might not agree but i got tired because there were a lot of activities and some of us got tired and some of us didn’t and i got into zones.

It was fun because I like Athletics. My favourite activity was middle distance and discussion and i Made it into zones for discussion I think but I know I made it into zones for something but I don’t know what I’m doing in zones.

My favourite activity was the middle distance and discussing it is my favourite because I like throwing stuff and I can throw as hard as I can and the middle distance is my favourite because I came 4th. I think i Might go into zones for Middle distance.

In conclusion, I believe that Athletics is better then like Sitting in the house and doing nothing and you can get fit and you can win some and you can go to Canterbury’s. This is why I like Athletics Day

Today I learned about using different words and adjectives to describe myself in a bio-poem. We also thought about our hopes for the future for ourselves and the world we live in. Here is my bio-poem. link here

olympics

This week we have been learning about the Olympics and what i enjoyed the most about Olympics that we had to get a pic of a  girl, boy and he,she had to be in NZ Olympics this year and something I found difficult was when we had to.

olympics

This week as a class we have been having to find 3 people from this olympics year. We had to go then search them up then get a picture of all 3 of them. Next
We had to search how old they were in 2024 and if they had any siblings and where they were from. When did they start the Olympics and how Many hours do they practice in 2024?. How many medals have they won and if you have the most Metals At the end of the Olympics you Get a prize from Matua Travis if you have the most medals at the end.

poi and rakau

this term we had some action stations and i wanted to do poi and rakau and we did poi and rakau on a friday  and my favorite thing was when  we got to play with the rakau then the thing I didn’t really like was when we had to make poi because it was really hard and my went out the window and we had allot of  things to use like tape and some plastic.

Harold The Giraffe.

We went to Harold the giraffe today and went into the Life Education van. Harold the giraffe came out of the Secret room that they have and then we were doing some learning like we were learning about the basic needs that we need in life. These are the basic needs first we need sleep, Water, exercise, food, and shelter. Jo taught us that that Both of your hands together is the size of your brain and if you only put one up it just means the size of your heart and One of your lungs are smaller than the other because so your heart can fit your heart in the middle of both of your lungs and this is why we need a Skeleton and our body Because if we didn’t have a skeleton in our body then We would just be a blob.

action station

Today we had another action station.

Something I like was I get to rip the rips.

Something I didn’t like was when I had to run and go touch the pole.

Something I learnt was when you go touch the pole four times You can go to the middle and score a try.

Something I didn’t understand was when you run you have to go to the pole.

Mau rakau 20 Poututerangi

First we got the Rakau from Matua and then we got into a porowhita, then we did our Karakia. We got into our lines and then we did Waewae nuku tua tahi the Waewae nuku tua rua all the way to Waewae nuku tua ono. Our favourite was to play dodge poi  and these are the rules you have to get poi like 5 poi and then you put them in a line the you have to have like 6 people then you get started to 123 and then GO and then when you get the poi and then you have to do it under arm then you hit other people not on your side then we did our karakia and left.

I think mau rakau has improved my co-ordination with my tinana and mind. The swift movements are making me think faster on my feet.

Here we are formed into our lines.
